Getting your Online Marketing Right in 2019
The commercial calendar is flooded with events and occasions that businesses can tailor their marketing efforts around. It’s never too early to start planning for these occasions, and yes, before you ask we are already thinking about Christmas! Planning has multiple benefits for your business. The more time you put into planning your online marketing, the more freedom and flexibility you have to finely tune or tweak the plan closer to the time. It goes without saying that a carefully planned and executed marketing campaign can bring you greater returns than something which has been put together last minute.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a butcher, a baker, or a candlestick maker, every business should look to maximise their visibility in the lead up to these events.
Below are some of the obvious and not so obvious days in the calendar that you should look out for:
Blue Monday 😐: The third Monday in January has the unfortunate name of “Blue Monday” as it is dubbed the most depressing day of the year. As a way to cheer themselves up, consumers look to cheer take solace with retail therapy or holidays. These are quick purchases and searches for a fast pick me up. So you want your service or product to be at the top of that list. (21st January 2019)
Valentine’s Day ❤: Love it or loathe it, Valentine’s Day is one of the most profitable commercial events. If your business has something to offer this Valentine’s Day, consider planning your marketing well in advance to create a buzz and draw people towards your site, with fresh, relevant, love-themed content. (14th February 2019)
Mother’s Day 👸: Mother’s Day marks the day that we celebrate our Mother’s and all the wonderful things they do for us. Mother’s Day has huge commercial potential for business of all types. Loving children search for spa days, weekend getaways, meals and so much as a way to say thank you for being their mum.
