Technical SEO Specialist

Hey! We’re Netbiz Group, a digital agency based in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

We’re looking for a Technical SEO Specialist to join our growing SEO team. Whether you’re new to SEO or you’ve been doing this for a while, if you’ve got an enthusiasm for what you do and are passionate about web development or SEO, we’d love to hear from you!

We’ll need you to:

• Review SEO performance across key metrics and other key indicators such as ranking and visibility

• Improve website performance and search engine visibility through ad hoc development.

• Perform technical SEO audits of client’s websites to identify opportunities for improvement

• Help technical issues or queries that may arise on a day to day basis. This may include, but not limited to, small styling updates to blog pages or additional features such as meta description implementation on pages that are currently missing one.

• Modify existing sites to improve their core web vital scores, in particular, the First & Largest Contentful Paint, the TTFB and the Time to Interactive by identifying & streamlining code, implementing next-gen image formats retrospectively and other methods that are applicable.

• Keep up to date with industry developments, including suspected algorithm updates and reputable/reliable SEO industry best practice

The Ideal candidate will:

• Be a strong team player with initiative, a positive attitude and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

• Fluent written and spoken English

• Ability to adapt tone of voice to suit different brands

• A relevant degree preferred

• Strong Technical Background

• Excellent time management

• Willingness to learn

Bonus points if you:

• Previous experience as a Junior developer or similar role

• Understanding of WordPress and other open-source platforms

• Experience using a range of tools including, but not limited to, SEMrush, AHrefs, Screaming Frog, and Analytics

• Keep up to date with SEO practices and principles

You’ll be joining our SEO team, working alongside a talented team of developers, technical seo specialists and copywriters.

We’ll offer you:
