Survival of the Fittest

Another Google Algorithm is set to hit on 21st April 2015. Google have announced: ‘we will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal’, which will have a ‘significant impact in our search results’.

This means that if your website is not mobile responsive, you may begin to see negative results in your rankings after the 21st April. The only way to prevent this is to go responsive. Google’s main ranking signals all point back to three key points – is your website helpful, relevant and user-friendly? A non-responsive website doesn’t satisfy these points – a visitor that struggles to navigate round your site is not a happy visitor.

So what should you do if your website isn’t mobile-responsive? Get in touch with one of our account managers to discuss your options; it’s important to keep up with the latest web trends and we’re the best people to advise you on this.

As Charles Darwin once said – ‘It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive but those who can best manage change’. And change is upon us; once the algorithm hits, a website that is not mobile friendly may see a drop in their search results, suddenly ranking lower than previously and therefore receiving less traffic. Less traffic means less sales/enquiries, which of course means less profit for you.

So will you respond to the change and benefit from the mobile-friendly algorithm, or ignore it and fall behind competitors who fit the bill?

NetBiz Group can turn your website mobile-responsive from as little at £600, depending on the complexity of the website. This can help you to combat the negative changes that will undoubtedly occur to many of those who don’t make the change to responsive.
